The VICTRON CONNECT APP can be used for updating, configuring, and monitoring most of the Victron products. This app can be downloaded for free on Android, Apple, and Windows devices from their app stores. To use this app with your Victron device, they need to have Bluetooth built-in (Smart Equipment) or the VE.DIRECT BLUETOOTH DONGLE that can be purchased from eMarine Systems.
With the VictronConnect app, you can get real-time information from your Victron Smart equipment to be able to monitor the performance of your renewable energy system. Additionally, you can use this app to be able configure equipment like a SMART CHARGE CONTROLLER to have the correct charging parameters of your battery. With VictronConnect you can also keep your equipment updated, which can help with product performance overtime.
An extra function offered by VictronConnect on Windows PC’s or Apple Mac is the ability to program your VE.Bus VICTRON INVERTERS, such as the Multiplus, Quattro, and Phoenix Inverters. To be able to perform this, the MK3 INTERFACE DONGLE is needed. With the MK3 dongle and the VictronConnect app, you can set up your inverter specifically for your system. Some of the parameters you can change include: battery charging parameters, battery chemistry, inverter cut-out option, and more. It also allows for the user to update the firmware of the inverter, allowing fixes on performance with the simple touch of a button.
Marc's VictronConnect Quick Tips:
- First time pairing with a Victron device requires the default PIN code: 000000. (This can be changed later!)
- Must be nearby the device, no more than 15 away, to ensure a stable connection.
- Your Victron Bluetooth-capable device must not be "hidden" behind metal fuel or water tanks, deep in bilges, etc.
- Only one phone or tablet can connect via VictronConnect at any time.
- Do not connect to any Victron devices detected by your phone's Bluetooth. Only connect via the VictronConnect app.
