Pod Drive 12.0 EVO is an electric fixed 12 kw pod drive controlled by either Top or Side Mounted Throttle Control or Side Mounted Throttle Control. Pod is gaining increasing population among boat owners in recent decades. Electric pod drives are environment- friendly, clean and very efficient. This 48V 3kw electric pod drive system is equivalent of 6HP internal combustion engine. It is perfect for recreational small to medium sized boats such as sailboats and some motorboats.
The pod drive works seamlessly under the water where it operates quietly and is cooled naturally thanks to the surrounding water environment.
Pod Drive 12.0 EVO is a pod drive system with regeneration capability that puts energy back into the battery bank when overdriven which typically occurs when under sail. No gear box required to achieve the necessary torque, which means fewer moving parts and a simple mechanical structure. The advantages are smaller size, less noise and higher reliability.
In addition, the hydrogenation feature capture the power your sailboat generates while being propelled by the wind. Hydrogeneration is a proven way to reduce or eliminate fossil-fuel charging while sailing. Recharge while underway!
