Loading... Please wait...The Sunforce 600 Marine Wind Turbine is designed for watercrafts and any area in close proximity to salt water. The heavy-duty powder-coating adds enhanced resistance to the effects of the sun, wind, and water. All components have been tested to perform, without degradation under marine conditions.
Our Sunforce 600 is sold with an external MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracking) controller that connects directly to the turbine. When connected it maximizes power produced by optimizing performance (it regulates turbine speed for given wind condition and to squeak out as much power as possible). The MAXIMUM power rating of the combined system is 450 W, but the over all energy production is significantly enhanced by the MPPT controller. This is especially advantageous in the low wind speed areas where many boats typically moore, thereby maximizing the energy harvest (amp-hrs /day).
We have combined the turbine and MPPT controller together into our popular cost-effective kits to help simplify the installation. these include specialty control panels which work exclusively with the Sunforce 600 turbine.
Turbine and Tower Kit includes:
Turbine w/e10 Analog
Turbine w/e10 PEM Meter
Deluxe Kit

These kits will ship in multiple boxes and thus may require extra shipping cost. If your order requires additional shipping we will contact you prior to your order leaving our facility.
Precision-molded, aerodynamic fiberglass blades ensure quiet performance and minimal vibration. Turbine output is 3 phase AC, reducing power loss over longer wire lengths, that is then converted to DC at the MPPT controller. Microprocessor-based controller provides voltage regulation of the 12V output, peak power tracking, and silent stall control in high winds (see more info below). At sea the increased blade tip angle improves ability of blades to both engage wind at low speeds as well as shifting the point at which blades would typically “flutter” in high winds to a point above the rotational speed allowed by the MPPT controller. In port, hysteresis braking locks the turbine in a silent regulation mode once the batteries are fully charged, preventing the turbine from fluctuating in and out of regulation mode. The result is quieter, more unobtrusive operation both under sail and when docked. The tail-fin of this marine turbine model is designed to better stabilize the unit in marine wind environments.
Turbine specifications:
The included Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) charge controller enables the 600 watt marine turbine to achieve its highest possible performance by periodically tracking the maximum power point of the turbine’s output. The controller features a corrosion and water resistant heat sealed casing to insure longevity in the marine environment. MPPT controller output featuresa temperature-compensated three-stage battery charging regulator.
